Load data
The following file types can be loaded in Purepoint:

Packet capture (.pcap) file

LidarPod® data (.lpd) file

Inertial Navigation System (.ins) file
-
Purepoint play list (.lpl) file
-
Purepoint project (.lvp) file
Load a new play list
A play list allows you to process large amounts of data quickly.
Follow these steps to create and load a new play list:

Load your files
From the FILE menu, select Open to open the Open Project or raw scanner data Windows Explorer dialog.

Select your file type
Select two or more of the following file types:
• .pcap
• .lpd
• .ins

Create your play list
On the Play list dialog, enter a name for the play list.
Select a file, and select Up or Down to reorder the files (files will run sequentially).
If necessary, select Add to open the Open Project or raw scanner data Windows Explorer dialog and add more files.
If necessary, select a file and select Remove to remove the file from the play list.
Check the Automatically load next file check-box to automatically process the next file.
Select OK to load and create the play list.

Information
To view or edit the play list, select Play List to open the Play list dialog.
Tip
Files selected in the Play list dialog are highlighted blue.
Import a track
Information
The imported track overwrites the track recorded with the point-cloud data.
Follow these steps to import a track:

Select a track to import
From the FILE menu, select
Select Select track file.
Select a post-processed .csv file, and select Open.

Apply a template
From the Select Template drop-down, select a template.

Import your track
Select Import.
On the Import Track Report dialog, select OK.
Information
A time heading is necessary to correlate the data for latitude, longitude, roll, pitch, and yaw with the actual time the laser was fired.
Tip
The template headings that will be used are highlighted in red.
Tip
By default, Purepoint installs three templates.
You can create a new custom template. Custom templates are available at C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Routescene\LidarViewer64\CustomTrajectoryTemplates.
